What you get before anybody is booked

Every exterminator in Barrie offers a free inspection. It commits them to nothing and it is usually a sales visit with a clipboard. These are the parts we owe you whether or not you book a treatment.

We will not seal a bat colony in the maternity season

From roughly June to late August the young cannot fly. Sealing the entry traps them inside the wall, and several of the species that roost in attics here are protected in Ontario.

What we will do is survey it, find where they are getting in, and book the exclusion for the first date it is both legal and sensible. Anyone offering to seal it in July is either uninformed or counting on you being. The smell afterwards is what you would remember about the cheaper quote.

The fix gets named, not just the spray

Where they are getting in, what it is about the building that lets them, and what has to change to close it — named before anybody prices a recurring programme.

Most of what ends a mouse problem for good is carpentry, mesh and steel wool rather than pesticide. You are entitled to know that before anybody sells you a spray schedule, and it is the question worth putting to every quote you collect.

Nothing on the vehicle says pest control

Unmarked, plain clothing, no signage left at the door.

On a rental, a food business, or a house that is about to go on the market, this is most of the job. Your neighbours do not need to know, your guests do not need to know, and neither does anybody driving past on the day of a showing.

None of these is about the pesticide. The treatment warranty belongs on the quote and it is worth reading. These are what you get before you have decided anything.
